VidKit21 is an online learning application with a fully integrated movie-making system designed to motivate students to create self-directed 'high impact learning projects' online.

How it works: 
After receiving an email 'challenge' from a teacher,  a student goes online to explore & collect media (found within a content repository, featuring 'Learning Guides').  The student develops a 'thesis' and, using the media s/he has collected, makes an online movie about what s/he has learned. It's a very simple 'drag and drop' editing process with a unique Text-to-Speech function that allows one to write personal commentary and instantly convert it to voice-over narration. Once completed, the movie is saved and emailed to a teacher via a url.  Everything remains online; nothing is downloaded to the user's or viewer's computer.
